Cows are winners !

You cannot drive far in New Zealand right now without seeing cows in some waterway or stream. Often cows are in these streams or rivers in large numbers. That is not acceptable. No other industry could do that.

For the West Coast of New Zealand the risks from effluent pollution cannot be understated. Our rivers are a balance of wild and scenic snow fed rivers and forest fed streams. These rivers were once one of the major assets of this region as they once were in other regions.

Considered by the casual observer or tourist as they drive by all may seem well but that is not the case.

Pollution from effluent and other sources is rapidly wasting these arteries of beauty and a once pure New Zealand. The last frontier is rapidly being lost and probably forever.

The fact is that farmers do not need to do this, good management is all that is required. There are of course many responsible farmers who do comply and Unpurenz hopes those farmers will demand the WCRC take action to stop those who would bring their industry into disrepute

Rape !

The dairy industry is booming. It is a powerful lobby group. It is one of the biggest industries in this country but that does not give it the right to rape this land...!

Unpure New Zealand will be working tirelessly to stop that!

"The 100% Pure New Zealand brand does establish a level of expectation among potential visitors that New Zealand's natural environment will be clean and well cared for. Government, and our tourism agencies, recognize the importance of the natural environment in fulfilling New Zealand's marketing promise. This creates an incentive for all of New Zealand to take action to ensure we live up to the 100% Pure New Zealand promise."
