Kidney Fern C9J4731 Kidney ferns normally grow in groups on forest floor or on the trunks of trees. I was lucky enough to spot this one growing on its own. The shape to me separates it from the ordinary. It is its own sculpture and is especially suited to the rectangular photographic framing. The veins and water drops glow. Lake Brunner Sunrise Lake Brunner on the West Coast of New Zealand is spectacular. After many attempts I was able to capture this sunrise. It is a good thing I did as the iconic Kahikatea tree featured is this image blew down in a recent storm and is gone forever. The colours in this image when printed on canvas really glow. They lept at you from across the room. A superior art work indeed.

Lake Matheson C9J4864 Lake Matheson is near the Fox Glacier. It has a spectacular mountain backdrop and Mt Tasman and Mt Cook can be seen from here. Often there are beautiful still reflections such as this. This is the iconic view that is now hard to get as recently the lake has become inhabited by ducks that disturb the reflection. Introduced species of ducks have been encouraged here by food provided by tourists. Sad but true! We have printed this image up to 2m long and it is spectacular!

Lake Moeraki W4X0558 Lake Moeraki is nestled near the coast but with a backdrop mountains. It is in one of the last untouched valleys of New Zealand and is in the World heritage area. You can see why. We visited here in winter and during the night there was heavy snow down low on the nearby mountains. I love it don't you?

Limestone Cliff Falls C9J0128 I had never been to this particular part of the coast before. There had been big storms in the previous few days and rivers were in flood. The limestone cliffs sculpted by eons of water flows were wet and waterfalls were coming down a 100ft. The light had just come over the cliff edge giving dramatic light to these two delightful fairy tale falls. The light and shade here the slow exposure all combine to give a perfect picture of a spectacular sight. In black and white it is one of my favourite creations ever. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. The large size canvas is superb.

Meybille Bay Many years of waiting to get the light right and the rays to align with the rocks has finally paid off! Of course then you have to have low tide, a sunset and suitable weather as well! Landscape photography is definitely about determination and this image proves it! I think it is a masterpiece! I hope you do too. Printed on canvas the colours in this image are just delicious.

Milford Sound C9J4421 The real Milford Sound is a photographers challenge of great complexity. This is one of the wettest places in the world! It has become the iconic image of New Zealand - the picture postcard view taken on a still, calm day! But my heart is elsewhere.
